Josh earned his accounting degree from Grand Valley State University. He earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame graduating Cum Laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan and Illinois and is a member of the AICPA.
Josh began his career in public accounting in Grand Rapids, MI at Deloitte. However, being young and intrigued with big city life he move to Chicago where he first worked for Accenture, a consulting company, before transitioning into various Accounting and FP&A roles in manufacturing at RR Donnelley and Cenveo.
Josh has always considered Grand Rapids home and moved back where he has since worked for a family business, small accounting firm and most recently as Plant Controller at fairlife LLC- a 2012 start up between Select Milk Producers and The Coca-Cola Company.
An entrepreneur at heart, through prayer, conversation with his family and also his employer at the time (fairlife), it was decided October 2024 was the time to move forward with what was dubbed as Zondervan 2.0 and the Zondervan Group LLC was born.
Outside of work, Josh is actively involved in his home church, where he finds community and purpose. He values spending quality time with family and friends and enjoys staying active through jogging, waterskiing, and CrossFit. Additionally, Josh is passionate about serving others and participates in various organizations throughout the Greater Grand Rapids area, seeking to make a positive impact in his community. He is constantly reminded that we live in an amazing world and that every day is a gift to be enjoyed. This outlook inspires him to embrace life fully and to give back to those around him.
The Zondervan's Group mission is to provide accurate and transparent visibility to the financial health of a business so that good decisions can be made which ensure sustainable growth that maximizes shareholder value. To the extent possible, we lean in on the opportunities available through the US Tax code.
We are reminded that everything we have, including the ability to earn money and possessions comes from God himself. In this spirit, a culture of sound financial stewardship, ethical & honest practices, wisdom in decision-making, and a commitment to serving others guides our actions. By fostering transparency and accountability, we not only honor God but also empower the businesses we partner with to thrive and make a positive impact in our community, fulfilling our calling to be wise and generous stewards of the gifts we have been given.
Our motto, using Luke 20:25 as reference, "Pay to Caesar the things that are Caesar's", but not a penny more.
